Agnes O. Randle, longtime Waukesha resident and wife of the late William S. Randle died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Oak Hill Terrace at the age of 90. She was born in Chicago, IL on November 2, 1919 to Lars and JoAnne Olsen. In her earlier years, Agnes was employed as a beautician at Irene’s Beauty Shop. From 1943 until 1945 she proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II as a W.A.V.E. On May 22, 1949 she married William “Bill” S. Randle, together they owned and operated Randle Funeral Home in Waukesha, later becoming Randle-Dable Funeral Home. Agnes enjoyed working outdoors, maintaining the lawn and keeping busy with projects. In their retirement, Agnes and Bill enjoyed an Alaskan Cruise with Agnes’ sister Elsie, looked forward to Friday night fish fry’s, shopping at Sentry- Fox Run and enjoyed their home on Cliff Alex Court where Agnes loved walking around David’s Park. In the year 2000 Agnes moved to Oak Hill Terrace where she enjoyed taking part in many activities, including bingo, sing-a-longs and exercise class. The friendships that Agnes made at Oak Hill over the past ten years were a blessing to her. She will be remembered for her infectious giggle, pleasant personality and her love for desserts. She is survived by her sisters- in- law: Kathleen Olsen of Milwaukee and Betty Greer of Delaware; nieces, nephews and all her friends at Oak Hill Terrace. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Randle on December 16, 1999; her sisters, Elsie Olsen and Dorothy Regan; brother, Carl Olsen and half brother, Eugene Caldwell. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 4:00 until the 6:00PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Graveside services with full military honors will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 10:00AM.
