Alberto Duran Hernandez of Waukesha died on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Froedtert Hospital at the age of 78. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 17, 1940 the son of Antonio and Ofelia (nee Duran) Hernandez. Alberto worked for Navistar for 40 years, retiring in 2005. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Rose Marie Hernandez (nee Garcia) of San Antonio, TX, his children, Leticia Rodriguez of Milwaukee, Federico (Gina) Hernandez of Waukesha, Yvette Hernandez of Waukesha and Elliott (Amanda) Hernandez of Waukesha, his grandchildren, Gregorio Robles, Marcelino Robles Jr., Nicaela Robles, Olihandro Hernandez, Elle Hernandez, Aiden Faber-Hernandez, Aliciana Hernandez, Hunter Hernandez, Cruz Hernandez and Mya Hernandez and great-grandchildren, Gregorio Robles Jr., Carmelo Pinto IV and Marcelino Robles III. He is further survived by his sisters, Luis Hernandez of San Antonio, TX, Maria Hernandez of Waukesha and Josephina Hernandez of San Antonio, TX along with many nieces, nephews, many friends and other family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Enrique, Antonio, Ofelia and Sophia Ovella.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the 12:00 noon funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Father Chuck Wrobel will preside. Private interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in Alberto’s name are appreciated to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
