Alfred C. Moedinger, 98, of Waukesha died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Avalon Square. He was born on September 23, 1908 in Struempfelbach, Germany to Gottlob and Luise (nee: Manschreck) Moedinger. On January 2, 1942 he married the former Rose Wartzok in Madison. She preceded him in death on April 6, 2000. He had worked as a woodworker at the Manitowoc Church Furniture Company in Waukesha, proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Waukesha. Alfred is survived by his nephew George (Nancy) Wartzok of Tequesta, FL, nieces Marlene (Rodney) Leanna of Racine and Christie (Jim) Sagat of Waukesha. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Erwin, Gerald and Walter. Graveside services with full Military Honors and burial of his cremated remains will take place in the summer at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo.
