Alvina Brennan Mueller

Jesus came and reached out His hand and our loved one, Alvina Sophia Brennan Mueller grabbed hold and went with Him to Heaven, surrounded by love as she desired at home on May 21, 2008. She was born into a large family during WWI on January 14, 1917 in Palmyra, WI to William and Hattie Wilcox Brennan. Alvina began working at the A&P, later becoming employed at Ameron where after a lengthy career retired in 1980. She was a very intelligent individual with a great memory, strong-willed and of strong character, a determined over-comer, feisty, loyal and proud to be Irish. Her hobbies and interests included genealogy, history, crossword puzzles, language, interior and fashion design, playing cards and dice, and fellowshipping. She along with her husband Bill, were the cornerstone of the community near Wilson and Garfield Avenues. They were known by everyone and many generations enjoyed and looked forward to their Halloween and Christmas parties. She and Bill enjoyed their card clubs and the Chef's Club, which they were very active in - they were a fine waltzing pair. Alvina was also active in the Historical Society of Waukesha and Palmyra and enjoyed researching her genealogy. After her beloved Bill passed away, Alvina moved to Oak Hill Village were she enjoyed friends, playing cards, bingo, decorating for Christmas and remained very active until the very end. Her greatest wish was to be able to die at home surrounded by her family and belongings. She had a thought out plan and wanted to see her family and give them something special from her heart. As each one came, she became filled with more peace. When she had given her final love and gifts, with the last being a "so long" to a friend of over 40 years, she went Home. Left to carry on her legacy and many love filled memories are her granddaughters: Barbara Pollard, Nancy Blunk, Kathryn Sinclair and husband Marty and great-grandson Brandon Kyle Sinclair all of Austin, TX. Also left are many, many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters who died in early childhood, brothers: Harold, Earl, and William, sisters: Isabell and Gladys, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, her first husband, Raymond Pollard, her beloved son, Gordon Roger Pollard in 1999 and almost making their goal of a Fifty Year Anniversary, her second husband William T. Mueller preceded her in death in 1999. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 from 9:00 until the 11:00AM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palmyra Historical Society 112 North Third Street Palmyra, WI 53156.
