Angeleene “Angie” M. Butler a lifelong Waukesha resident was born to Eternal Life on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Seasons Hospice at age 83. She was born in Waukesha on June 14, 1936 the daughter of James and Ruth (nee Rich) Marone. She was a member of the first graduating class of Catholic Memorial High School in 1954. On June 14, 1958 she married her beloved husband James W. Butler at St. Mary’s Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on January 18, 2010. Angie was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was active in the Christian Women organization. She also was a member of Catholic Study Club, Beacon Lights, and Women Connected.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Michelle (Brad) Whitney of Buena Vista, CO, Mary Jo (John) Levene of Nashotah and Jim (Ann) Butler of Gurnee, IL. She was the proud grandmother of Sarah (Kevin) Moore, Grant Whitney, Katie (Omar) Sinno and Joe (Katie) Levene and grand dogs, Sophie and Rainy. She is further survived by her sister Mary Ann (Robert) Farner and brother-in-law Dick (the late Lynn) Butler, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Jim and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joe Marone.
A funeral Mass to celebrate Angie’s life will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the start of family eulogies at 11:45 a.m. Private family interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
