Ann "Annie" Smith

Ann M. “Annie” Smith, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Fri., Feb. 10, 2012 at age 53. She was born on Jan. 27, 1959 to Donald Michael and Jean Ellen (nee: Dooley) Schmitz. She was a 1977 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. On September 17, 1994 she married her beloved husband Michael. Annie worked at Carroll College, Norlight Telecommunications and Pillar Inductotherm Furnaces. She most recently worked as the secretary at St. Mary’s School where she was loved by all her students, staff and her Waukesha Catholic “family”. She will always be remembered for her radiant smile and her gentle, kind and caring nature. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Michael Smith of Waukesha and their two sons, Ryan and Matthew both of Waukesha; her father Donald “Mike” (Joan) Schmitz of Waukesha and her brothers and sister: Mark Schmitz of Waukesha, Jennie (Chuck) Chapman of West Bend and David (Denise) Schmitz of Waukesha. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Ellen Schmitz. Visitation will be held on Wed. Feb 15, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 Hartwell Ave. from 4:00 until 8:00PM with a prayer service to follow at 8:00PM. Visitation continues on Thurs.
