Ann Therese Klopp of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at her home at the age of 85. She was born in Chicago, IL on March 1, 1932 the daughter of Harold and Katherine (nee Hayes) Brandl. On October 23, 1971 she married her beloved husband, John H. Klopp.
Ann worked first in Chicago as an executive secretary ; she and John met at Continental Insurance in 1970. After marrying and moving to Waukesha in 1971, Ann worked at the Marine Bank, then at Bank One and she retired from JP Morgan Chase bank in 1996.
Ann had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's church in Waukesha and then St. John Neumann Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir.
When John and Ann married, Ann also became mother to Laurie and Steven, aged 9 and 11. She made the family complete again, and with her love and devotion she brought beauty and joy to each one of us every day.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 46 years, John of Waukesha and their children, Laurie (Hubert) Taru of France and Steven (Denise) Klopp of Minnesota and her four grandchildren, Tristan, Anna, Celine and Erick. She is further survived by her sister Mary (Brian) Canfield of Illinois, her niece Therese Canfield and her nephews Greg (Pam) Canfield, Mark (Rhonda) Canfield and Michael Canfield, along with other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 WI-59, Waukesha, WI 53189. Father Jose Nieto will preside. Continued fellowship and lunch will follow the Mass. Private interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ann’s name are appreciated to St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
