Ann C. Stangl of Waukesha, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 94. She was born on November 21, 1915 in Butternut, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Crescenta (nee Woefl) Stangl. She proudly served her country in the Women’s Army Corps. Ann lived in Park Falls for many years where she belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary. After moving to Waukesha in 1969, she worked for the Godfrey Company as a private secretary assisting with insurance. Throughout the years that followed, she resided in both Waukesha and Butternut. Ann will be deeply missed by her sisters, Dorothy Stangl of Chicago and Josephine Bennett of West Allis; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces & nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Joseph and Karl Stangl; and sisters: Forence Miller and Mary Engle; and her parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. Burial will take place with full military honors on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Cecelia Cemetery in Butternut, WI.
