Arlene L. Greseth of Waukesha, WI and Lady Lake, FL passed away peacefully and was reunited with her husband Gailen on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon at the age of 87.
She was born in Madison, MN on June 16, 1931 the daughter of Arthur and Lyda (nee Anfenson) Anderson. On October 13, 1951 she married her beloved husband of 65 years, Gailen K., Greseth; he preceded her in death on June 29, 2017. Arlene worked for Unisys as an executive secretary for many years. Upon retirement Arlene and Gailen moved to Lake Arrowhead, WI where they spent the summer months and winter months in the The Villages, FL. Arlene enjoyed golfing, line dancing, singing in the church choir, knitting, water aerobics, and was an avid bridge player. She was an excellent cook and known for her delicious pies. Arlene cherished the time she spent with her family and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend.
She will be sadly missed by her sons Gary (Jane) Greseth and David (Kathy) Greseth, daughter Lori (Joe) Knueppel, seven grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one great - great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Dolores Anderson and Betty Greseth, brother-in-law Orlyn (Linda) Greseth, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Gailen, she was preceded in death by her brother Noel Anderson, sisters-in-law Elaine and Karen and brother-in-law Eugene.
A celebration of Arlene’s life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St. in Waukesha, WI with visitation at 10:00 AM and services at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Donations in Arlene’s memory are appreciated to Lawlis Family Hospice, P.O. Box 88828, Milwaukee, WI 53288-0828.
