Armin C. Honeyager, lifelong Waukesha resident and longtime area farmer, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Lifecare Hospitals of WI at the age of 86. He was born on May 13, 1924 in Waukesha, the son of Arthur and Laura (nee Schmidt). He was a charter member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where he was very active. For many years he worked for the Waukesha County Parks System as a golf course superintendent at Nagawaukee Golf Course. He had been a school board member for Lawrence School and a volunteer fire chief for the town of Waukesha. He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary Honeyager (Hofmann), children A. Thomas (Carol) Honeyager, Linda (David) Schilz, Christine G. “Tina” Hanson, Rita (Richard) Trickel and Timothy (Ramona) Honeyager. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife Regina “Jeannie” Honeyager on September 28, 2003, brother Arthur and sister Arlene Knifke. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 27 from 9:30 AM until the 11:30 AM funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 State Rd. 59, Waukesha. Fr. John Schreiter presiding.
