Arthur “Art” C. Hine of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 85. He was born in Waukesha on January 2, 1938 the son of Willard and Anna (nee Swan) Hine. Art proudly served his country in the United States Army and was employed at Waukesha Engine for 45 years. He loved to golf, enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead with his Thursday afternoon group and was the much-loved assistant coach for the youth club volleyball in Waukesha. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed.
Unforgettable and loving memories of Art will live on in his family including his wife, Casey Brand, daughters, Michele (the late Tom) Gulrud and Theresa (Danny) Dettlaff; his grandchildren, Adam Gulrud, Elijah Gulrud, Judah Gulrud, John (fiancée Ellie) Gulrud, Lydia Gulrud, Andrew Gulrud, Micah Gulrud, Ezra Gulrud, Julia Gulrud, Eden Gulrud, Isaac Gulrud, Haley (Kevin) Gast and Adriana Dettlaff; and his brothers, Doug (Mary) Hine and Tom (the late Pam) Hine. He was also a cherished family member of the Brand and Kopperud Families including brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave (Mary) Brand, Marty Brand, Jeff (Dawn) Brand, Julie (Carol Van Duser) Brand, Cindy (Tom) Watson and Larry (Kathy) Kopperud. Art is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation in celebration of Art’s life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Casual dress is kindly requested by the family.
