Arthur L. Pfaff, of the town of Waukesha, formerly of Racine, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the age of 70 years. He was born in Mauston, WI on April 5, 1942 the son of the late Fred and Meda (nee St. Clair) Pfaff. He was a graduate of Mauston High School. In August 1963 he married Susan (nee Kapellusch); she preceded him in death on March 4, 2001. On May 12, 2012 he married Joyce (nee Pillsbury) at First United Methodist Church in Waukesha. Arthur was a longtime employee of Twin Disc retiring in 2007. Arthur was a true outdoorsman and loved nature. He enjoyed hunting, baiting deer, feeding the birds and the bears. He had a great passion for going to the north woods and spending time with his grandchildren at his cabin in Newald. The hummingbirds at his cabin and wildlife by his tree-stand will surely miss him. He also enjoyed NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was a former member of the Racine Sportsman Club.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Joyce Pfaff of Waukesha, his daughters: Kimberly (Thomas) Schott of Franklin, Alicia (Jeff) Fritz of Franksville and Darcey Meyer of Racine, his step-daughter Joelle (James) Ottoson of Waukesha, his grandchildren: Casey and Nicholas Schott, Theresa (Eric) Carroll, Stephanie Fritz, Stuart (Ashley) Fritz and Christopher and Jacob Meyer, his step-grandchildren: Jacob and John Ottoson and his great-grandchildren Jazmine and Jordynn Fritz. He is further survived by his sisters Delores (the late Howard) Thompson of LaCrosse and Evelyn (the late John) Cowan of Mauston, his sister-in-law Carol Pfaff of Rockford, IL along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his first wife Susan, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Kelly and his brother Alfred Pfaff.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A second visitation will take place on Monday, November 26 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12 Noon funeral service at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10302 S. 27th St. in Oak Creek. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 27 at 10:00 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park in Racine.
