Arvid G. Johnson, Jr. of Waukesha, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Prairie Village, Kansas at the age of 82. He was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of Arvid, Sr. and Edith (McAffee) Johnson. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Arv was a technical writer for most of his working career. He had many interests which included photography, bird watching, and music. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Wende (Patrick Fair) Anderson of Menomonee Falls; and grandchildren: Nathan, Erin, Keith, Kevin, and Melanie. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Arlys, and his parents. Special thanks to his sister-in-law and her husband, Patricia and Dean Davenport and family in Kansas for the loving care they gave to Arv. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave, Waukesha. A military service will begin at 3:00 PM at the funeral home, provided by D.J. Martin American Legion Post #8 of Waukesha, with full military honors to follow.
