Barbara "Bobbie" Conrad

Barbara “Bobbie A. Conrad, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at her residence at the age of 90 years.   She was born on April 30, 1919 in Ironwood, MI to Oscar and Mabel (nee: McDougal) Olson. She was a graduate of Ironwood High School and a 1943 graduate of Carroll University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. While at Carroll University she was a member of the Theta Pi Delta Sorority. On May 28, 1945 she married Blythe A. “Connie” Conrad. He preceded her in death in 1982. She has been a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1943 where she has been a longtime member of the choir and a volunteer and coordinator of Meals on Wheels. She had worked at Wisconsin Anti-Tuberculosis Association, Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Century Fence and the State of Wisconsin, where she retired in 1985. She will be sadly missed by her children Joyce (Bill) Leissring of Tuscon, AZ and Wayne (Judy) Conrad of Waukesha. Dear grandmother of Carrie Conrad of Waukesha and Matthew (Britt) Conrad of Wauwatosa. She is further survived by her sister Joy Ross of Barefoot Bay, FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister Kay Jacobson, as well as her parents. Visitation will take place on Saturday March 13, 2010 from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S.
