Barbara J. Dusterhoft of Brookfield passed away at AngelsGrace Hospice on June 22, 2019 at the age of 84.
Barbara was born on June 21, 1935, the daughter of Michael and Helen (Pagel) Congemi. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha. She married Paul Dusterhoft on January 8, 1955, in Waukesha.
Barbara loved to travel and to go camping. She and Paul traveled (mostly by car) to each of the states except Alaska. They also visited Mexico, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and the Netherlands, and they spent time in Florida every winter for the past 35 years. She also enjoyed attending sporting events, watching her grandchildren at countless soccer games as well as track, cross country, football, wrestling and lacrosse. In addition, Barbara enjoyed playing bridge and she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James Congemi, her sister Shirley Mosher, sister-in-law Patricia Congemi, brothers-in law Donald Dusterhoft, Wilbur Kurtzweil, Laverne Mosher, William Beaudoin, and Richard Wohlers.
She is survived by her husband Paul, her two daughters Pamela (Douglas) Ewing and Kathleen (Scott) Ciesielczyk, her six Grandchildren Alyssa (Brandon) Schauz, Emily (Ben) LaCoursiere, Nicole Ciesielczyk, Grace Ciesielczyk, Matthew Ciesielczyk and Mitchel Ewing. She is also survived by her sister Elaine Beaudoin, her sister-in-law Ruth Wohlers and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27 at St. John Vianney Parish (1775 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield) from 10:00 a.m. until the mass celebrating Barbara’s life at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be at St Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha following the Mass. Please meet at the cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
