Barbara Foss (nee Werning) age 82 died April 18, 2017 after a battle with Alzheimers Disease at The Virginia Health and Rehab in Waukesha. She was born on October 11, 1934 to Albert and Joyce (nee Wright) Werning. In 1952 she married her farmer sweetheart Willis. Along with Willis she ran a large dairy farm in the town of Vernon for most of her life, and was a longtime member of the Waukesha County Agri Business, and Golden Guernsey Dairy Producers. After retiring from the farm she worked at the front desk at Farm and Fleet. She was a former member at Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Terry (Candy) Foss of Waukesha, Sherry (Mark) Cartwright of Big Bend, and Sue (Mike) Quam of New Berlin, her Seven wonderful grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother Richard (Roberta “Bobbie”) Werning of Waukesha, and her sister-in-Law Mary Werning of Oklahoma, Nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis on August 2, 2007, her brother Roland “Rocky” Werning. Per her request her body was donated to The Medical College of Wisconsin and there will be no funeral services planned. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at The Virginia Health and Rehab for the loving care provided in Barbara’s last months.
