Bettiann R. Williams, of the Town of Genesee, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 84 years. She was born in Aurora, IL on October 25, 1929 the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Ethel (nee Troxel) Rogers. On April 7, 1951 she married David C. Williams. Bettiann worked for Wern Farms, and for 17 years as a Test Administrator for the Federal Government as well as an Agriculture Survey Agent for the State of Wisconsin. She was a charter member of Southminster Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and played for the past 25 years in the bell choir. Bettiann was an avid quilter and a member of The Spring City Garden Club. Dedicated to her neighborhood and to her community, she also was a member of the Senior League of the Waukesha Service Club. Bettiann was a devoted caregiver to many and was more concerned for others than herself. She was a dear friend to many and never stopped making new friends.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 years, David of the Town of Genesee and their children, David Lee (Ellen Royalty) Williams of Boston, Massachusetts, Susan (Robert Cervelli) Williams of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Cindy (Russ) Hum of Waukesha. She was a fantastic grandmother of Evan Williams Cervelli, Trevor Williams Cervelli, Benjamin Royalty Williams, Eleanor Powers Lincoln, and Ken and Michelle Hum. She is further survived by her sister Aileen of Milwaukee along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her daughter Nai-Ling Chang and by her sister Laurie Jones.
A private family burial will be held on Saturday morning at Salem Cemetery in Wales. A public memorial service honoring Bettiann’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2:00PM at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 200 Richard Street, Waukesha, WI 53189. Reverend Christian Boyd will preside. A reception to greet the family will follow from 3:30PM until 5:00PM at the church.
