Betty J. Buchholtz, of the Town of Waukesha, passed away peacefully and was reunited with her beloved husband, Gordon, on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Linden Grove in Mukwonago at the age of 93. She was born in Walworth County, WI, on February 23, 1924 the daughter of William and Bessie (nee Phillips) Klug. She was a 1942 graduate of Darien High School. On May 31, 1947 she married Gordon Buchholtz at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha. She was a longtime faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, was a dispatcher for the Town of Waukesha Fire Department from 1974 until 2010, member of the Town of Waukesha Fire Department, Auxiliary, the Oakdale Homemakers and for many years helped with her children’s activities in 4H.
She is survived by her sons Phillip (the late Jodi) Buchholtz, Daniel Buchholtz, Todd (Lisa) Buchholtz, and Stuart (Mary T.) Buchholtz. She is also survived by her grandchildren Chad Buchholtz, Heidi (Ken Jensen) Buchholtz, Jason (Becky Williams) Buchholtz, Nicole (Brian) Fabus, Matthew (Christina) Buchholtz, Chelsea (Jerry III) Seidl, and Kelly Buchholtz, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon in 1992, brothers Horace Klug, and Phillip (Sharon) Klug, sisters Lauretta Klug Smith, and Thelma (Ray) Bainbridge.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:30 am at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church 1052 White Rock Ave Waukesha, WI 53186. Graveside services will follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Memorials in Betty’s name are appreciated to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (address listed above).
