Betty M. Hayes

Betty M. Hayes, a lifelong Waukesha resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 78. She was born in Waukesha on January 11, 1937 the daughter of John and Rosalind (nee Wiedenhoeft) Baran. She was a graduate of Waukesha High School. On January 30, 1960 she married Robert A. Hayes in Waukesha; he preceded her in death on March 28, 1989. Betty retired from Dairyland Bus Company, a job she loved and worked for more than 20 years. She enjoyed going to the family lake home in Wild Rose and going gambling, but most of all she loved being with her family. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Sandi (Rick Tompkins) Hayes of West Allis, Peggy (Curt) Oestreich of Waukesha and Scott (Debbie) Hayes of Waukesha. She was the dear grandmother of Tim (Aly) Oestreich of Orlando, FL, Cassie (fiancé Kyle Carlson) Oestreich of Waukesha and Taylor Hayes of Waukesha and great-grandmother of Nolan Carlson. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, William (the late Geraldine) Baran of Waukesha, Donna (the late George) Trevorrow of New Berlin, Gary (Nancy) Baran of Waukesha and Patty Soward of Tomahawk, her brother-in-law Robert Miller of Manitowoc, her special friend Earl Beyer, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, John (Margaret) Baran, Una Wilkins, Bonnie (Leroy) Klatt and Robert Baran, her sister-in-law Rosemary Miller and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, June 5th from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM funeral service. Reverend Karen Pahl will preside. Graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the family.
