Betty A. Klemp Koch, (Nee Salter) of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 93 years. She was born in Waukesha on May 21, 1925 the daughter of Millard and Isabell (nee Sedgewick) Salter. On November 11, 1949 she was married to Alvin “Al” E. Klemp at the First Baptist Church of Waukesha where she was a lifelong member. After the sudden death of Al in 1971, Betty later married Fredrick “Fred” J. Koch, on May 11, 1978 in Jerusalem, Israel. Betty was a wonderful mother who had a great sense of humor, enjoyed friends and family, and who later in life became quite a traveler.
She will be sadly and deeply missed by her children, Thomas “Tom” (Merry) Klemp of Waukesha, and Nancy Klemp Burmeister of Waukesha. She was the dear grandmother of Andrew (Melissa Roder) Burmeister, Sarah (Jason Cannon) Burmeister, and Tom Burmeister, along with two great-grandchildren. She is furthered survived by her dear sister Jean Burke of East Lansing, Michigan along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her first husband Al, her second husband Fred, her brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Helen Salter, and brother-in-law John T. Burke.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14 from 9:30 AM until the 11:30 AM memorial service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. in Waukesha. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to First Baptist Church, 247 Wisconsin Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.
