Betty Lou Rockteacher of Mukwonago was born to Eternal Life on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 90. She was born in Waukesha on March 27, 1928 the only child of Stanley and Grace (nee Dable) Leverenz. She was a graduate of Mukwonago High School. On July 2, 1949 she married Jerome Rockteacher at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle; he preceded her in death on December 6, 2013. She was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago. Betty enjoyed being part of the local home-makers group, loved gardening and working on her “fancy work”. Her greatest joy was her family, especially being “Grandma LuLu” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted daughter, Susan Rockteacher of Mukwonago, her daughter-in-law Sandra Rockteacher of Mukwonago, her dear grandchildren, Brian (Nichole) Rockteacher of Mukwonago, Kevin (Jessie) Rockteacher of Big Bend and Rebecca (fiancé Kevin Schmidt) Rockteacher of Mukwonago and her seven precious great-grandchildren, Makayla, Emma, Olivia, Taylor, Ava, Lilly and Jaxson. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law, John (the late Connie) Rockteacher of Mukwonago and Dave (Kathy) Rockteacher of Eagle along with other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Gary Rockteacher in 2018.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 9:00AM until time of the 12:00 Noon funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Parish, 830 E. Veterans Way, Mukwonago, WI 53149. Fr. Loyola Amalraj will preside. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 19th at 9:00AM at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Please meet at the cemetery office.
