Betty Jane Rossman

Betty J. Rossman, a lifelong Waukesha resident, peacefully joined her beloved husband William and son Scott in Heaven on Saturday, May 9, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family at age 92. She was born in Waukesha on April 27, 1923 the daughter of Adam and Viola (nee Schnitzke) Diedrich. She was a 1943 graduate of Waukesha High School. On April 23, 1945 she married William E. Rossman; he preceded her in death on May 4, 2009. Betty worked at Waukesha Motor Company, but spent most of her life being a devoted mother and homemaker. Betty was a woman of strong faith and was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church. She was a diehard Packer fan, loved her flowers and enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, dominos and sheepshead and decorating for every holiday. She was an amazing, kind and gentle woman who loved her family more than anything. She found great joy in having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren around her and will forever remain in the hearts of her loving family.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Sharon (Ron) Krueger of Waukesha, Penny Grundman of Weyauwega and William (Cindy) Rossman of Waukesha. She was the proud and cherished grandmother of Karrie (Steve) Wilkum, Krissy (Josh) Falls, Chad (Dena) Krueger, Terresa (Joe) Lider, William (Megan) Rossman, Lindsey (Dustin) Schommer, Benji Rossman, Chad Stendal and Chris Grundman and joyful and fun-loving great-grandmother of Ali, Connor, Cooper, Aryana, Josh, Emma-Jean, Jaxon, Alyssa, Blake, William, Autumn, Christian, Caleb, Garrett, Chloe, January and Avril; and great-great-grandmother to Daisy Mae. She is further survived by her brothers, Dean (the late Julie) Diedrich of Waukesha, William (Carol) Diedrich of Waukesha; her sisters Gerry Lunde of Oconomowoc, Shirley (the late Carmen) Cirillo of Waukesha; brother-in-law Dick Schaefer of Rhinelander, special friends, Jim and Shirley Muth along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and the many friends at Oak Hill Terrace. In addition to her beloved husband William and dear son Scott, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pat Schaefer and Ginny (Frances) Watterson and her great-grandsons Dominic and Atticus.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 4:00PM until the time of the 7:00PM vigil service and time for sharing at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Thursday, May 14th from 9:00AM until 10:00AM followed by the procession to St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha for the 10:30AM funeral Mass. The Reverend Curt Frederick will preside. Entombment will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Packer attire is welcome.
