Betty Sansom

Betty Jane Sansom, 86, died on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at her Waukesha home.  She was born March 4, 1923 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania to James A. and Ada Mae(nee: King) Lay.  She was a graduate of Grove City, Pennsylvania.  She was an avid guitarist and organist.  She worked in the cafeteria at Waukesha Central High School and enjoyed her family.  On August 24, 1940 she married Edgar Sansom, he preceded her in death on December. 29, 1990. She was the loving mother of Walter (Kathleen) Sansom of Waukesha; Penny Curry of Waukesha and Prudy (Robert) Matusiewicz of Newman, California.  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Christine (Jonathan) Hoard of Phoenix, AZ; Rene (Erik)  Begnal of Brentwood, CA; Walter J. Sansom of Milwaukee; Angel Curry of Wauwatosa and Carrie Curry of Waukesha.  She was the proud great grandmother of Kelsey, Katelyn, Jacob, Sarah, Amber, Jay and Laileh. In addition to her husband, Edgar, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene (Ed) Hill and Goldie Wolfbrandt. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Wood National Cemetery 5000 W.
