Beverly J. "Joan" Svoma

April 1, 1929 — January 6, 2017

Beverly J. Svoma “Joan” of Waukesha died Friday, January 6, 2017 at the age of 87. She was born April 1, 1929 in Superior, WI the daughter of Harry and Marie (nee: Cyr) Dingwall. On July 31, 1981, she married Donald Svoma. She was a 1947 graduate of Cathedral High School in Superior. Joan was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waukesha and was also active with the Elk Ladies, Lodge #400 Waukesha.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Donald of Waukesha, her children Michael (Anita) Murphy of Sarasota, Florida, Julie (Steve) Kroeger of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Timothy (Patricia) Murphy of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Her sister Kathleen Touhy of Sarnia, Canada, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elizabeth Dodge, and her daughter Kathleen Murphy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the memorial service begins at 12:00 PM at Randle- Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave Waukesha, WI 53186. Interment will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, Wisconsin. Memorials may be directed to The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Waukesha Lodge #400, 2301 Springdale Rd, Waukesha, WI 53186.
