Bruce A. Lassig, of Waukesha, died Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the age of 87. He was born in Rhinelander, WI on December 5, 1936 to Carl and Kathryn (Hibbard) Lassig. Bruce was raised on a farm in northern Wisconsin and at an early age he developed a love for animals. Bruce loved his dogs, cats and horses, while living on the farm. He was an avid gardner and had a passion for hunting, fishing and loved watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He was employed for 40 years at International Harvester and in his retirement he worked for Prairie Home Cemetery, keeping the grounds maintained for 17 years. Bruce proudly served in the United States Army. On August 8, 1959 he married Annetta (nee: Crabtree) Lassig, she preceded him in death on Nov. 26, 2020.
He is survived by his loving children, Mark Lassig, Cindy (Jim) Schmidt, Kari (Ernest) Pulfer and Lori (Tommy) Nondahl. He is further survived by his dear grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica (Ryan), Brian (Kelly), Charlie, Jacob (Bridget), Neil, Tracy, Sammy and Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annetta Lassig and brother Carl Lassig.
Burial and Military Honors will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery on June 7, 2025
