Carl J. “Jim” Ohrstrom, 88, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Dousman. He was born on June 6, 1921 to Carl and Elsie (nee: Soukup) Ohrstrom, Sr. He was a 1937 graduate of Prentice High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1942-1945. Carl worked at the Waukesha Foundry for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling working on cars and small engines. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Marilyn (Dennis) Michaelis of Genesee; grandchildren: Tracy (Jim) Smukowski of Oconomowoc; Brad (Jenny) Michaelis of Genesee and great grandchildren: Cody, Brady, Ally & Abby Michaelis. He is further survived by his brother, William (Betty) Ohrstrom of Georgia, brother-in-law Paul Sasso of Arizona; and step-sister, Karen (Dennis) Dingeldine of Mukwonago. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Delores on January 7, 2007 and his sister Avril Sasso. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Interment with full military honors will take place following the service at Prairie Home Cemetery.
