Catherine T. Marx (nee Bozenik), of Waukesha died on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 94. She was born on a farm in Moquah, WI on February 22, 1920 the daughter of Michael and Sophie (nee Romanchick) Bozenik. She met her husband Werner in Milwaukee, they were married July 3, 1941 and raised their family in Waukesha. She raised twelve children with the support of her family, faith and friends after her husband died in 1966. A true matriarch, Catherine was amazing in her ability to keep her family together and keep people connected to her. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 60 years where she participated as a member of the Christian Women and the Catholic Study Club.
She will be sadly missed by her twelve children: Joanne (Neil) De Cloux of Brookfield, Virginia (James) Dougall of Cape Coral, FL, Mary (Helmut) Rauch of Fort Meyer, FL, Robert (Joan) Marx of Alamo, CA, Judith Simmons (Peter Tschernenko) of Danville, CA, Patricia Marx (Robert Griffin) of Stockton, CA, John (Pam) Marx of South Milwaukee, Bill (Diane) Marx of Watertown, James (Mary Anne) Marx of Madison, Gerald (Marguerite) Marx of Vancouver, WA, Larry (Lisa) Marx of Danville, CA, and Tom Marx of East Troy. She will also be missed by her 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law Mary Bozenik of Milwaukee and Dorothy Marx of California along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Werner, her grandchildren, Heather and Sam, her brothers: Michael and Joe, sisters: Mildred Hudak, Sr. Hilarus, Josephine Bozenik, Annie Pietreck, Mary Munson, Helen Majewski, and Leona Zambori.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 16, 2014 from 4:00 PM until the 8:00 PM Vigil Service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue Waukesha Wisconsin 53186. Services will continue on Saturday May 17, 2014 at the funeral home with prayers beginning at 9:30 AM followed by the procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 for the 10:30AM funeral Mass. Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
