Catherine S. Quinn, of Delafield, was born to Eternal Life Wednesday, April 6, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 67. Catherine was a registered art therapist, a talented artist and art teacher and a passionate lover of nature. She was born in New York City on March 7, 1949, the only child of Stephen and Irene (nee Douglas) Jaworski. In 1967, she graduated at the top of her class from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, MD. She earned her bachelor’s degree with high distinction from the University of Michigan where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Catherine also received her diploma in French language from the University of Dijon in France. She then earned her master’s degree in art therapy from Mount Mary University. She was affiliated with Lake Country Fine Arts in Hartland, was an active member of the Wisconsin Art Therapy Association and was involved with the Audubon Society and Hartland business community. A strong woman of faith, she was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Genesee Depot and The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee. She was known for devoting her life to helping others. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
She was the beloved wife of 46 years to Joseph Quinn of Delafield, the loving mother of Peter Joseph (Sara) Quinn of Madison, Mary Catherine Quinn of Chicago and Brian David Quinn of Madison and the cherished grandmother of Maeve who was the apple of her eye. She is further survived by a niece, a nephew, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, S38 W31602 Hwy D, Genesee Depot, WI 53127 (Corner of Hwy 83 & D). Reverend Ralph Gross and the Very Reverend Jeff Haines will concelebrate. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Santa’s Without Chimneys at
