Chester E. Lee, of Waukesha, left this world on Monday, December 20, 2010 at AngelsGrace Hospice after a brief illness at the age of 88. Chester was born in London, England on March 28, 1922, the son of John and Jane (nee King) Lee. He immigrated to Canada as a tool and die maker in 1957, working in the automotive industry. He ran factories for Chrysler in Detroit, Syracuse and Iran in the 1960’s. He moved to Waukesha as President of Waukesha Engine, Division of Dresser Industries. He retired from there in 1984 and then was a consultant for Dresser Industries. On March 3, 1989 he married Patricia Haverstick at St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Waukesha. Chet got his first computer in his 70s and was fascinated by the technology. He and Pat loved to travel, visiting friends and relatives in Europe. He was industrious and loved a project. He built a bunkhouse for his grandchildren at the summer cottage and landscaped the yard in Tucson. No small feat in the desert! He was an avid golfer and played well into his 80s. He will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia, of Waukesha, and her children Michael (Meredy) Hase of Wales, Rick Hase of Town of Waukesha and daughter Anne (Ann) Hase of Menomonee Falls. He was the dear grandfather of Julia (Andy) Jacobsen, Bryn Hase, Amanda (Mike) Payne, Michael Hase and Molly Hase. He is further survived by his brother Raymond Lee of London, England, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, here and in England. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy and brothers Reginald, Geoffrey, and Horace. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 23 from 3:00 p.m. until the 5:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Rev. Bill Zieche will preside. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chester’s name are appreciated to AngelsGrace Hospice, W359 N7430 Brown St. Oconomowoc, WI 53066 or Salvation Army, 445 Madison St. Waukesha, WI 53188.
