Clara K. Palade of Waukesha, died Tuesday, December 2, 2009 at the Virginia Health and Rehab at the age of 87. She was born on June 12, 1922 in Illinois, the daughter of Verne and Nora (Dyer) Walters. Clara was united in marriage to William Palade on July 24, 1948 in Chicago; he preceded her in death in 2000. After working for Uncle Paul’s Toy Shop in Waukesha in her younger years, she was employed for many years at Steins Drugs (Walgreens) as a photo technician. Clara had a love of people and always cared for others. She especially enjoyed participating in many of the activities at the Virginia where she was a resident. Clara will be sadly missed by her two daughters: Debbie (Danny) Hawver of Dousman, and Bonnie Zientara of Waukesha; three grandchildren: Timothy (Amanda) Hawver of Waukesha, William Zientara of Waukesha, and Amanda Oliden of Minnesota; and her brother, James Robert “Bob” Walters of Warrenville, IL. She will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Albert, Harry, Lee, Lloyd, Earl, and Ralph; and her sister, Frances Foss. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 9:30 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Rev. Dennis Henn will preside.
