Clinton "Clint" O. Knee

April 21, 1926 — March 21, 2018

Clinton “Clint” O. Knee of Waukesha found peace on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the age of 91, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin on April 21, 1926 the son of Orville and Martha (nee Kauppi) Knee. Clint served in the United States Navy during WWII and was stationed in the Philippines. Upon returning, he finished his education and graduated from UW-Madison where he met his first wife of 29 years, Kathleen (Lewis) Knee. He soon began his 37-year career as a dedicated employee of Wisconsin Electric Power Company working as an electrical engineer and retiring in the position of Division Engineer.

On September 27, 1980, Clint married Geraldine “Geri” (Prausa) Knee. Clint was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where he served on the church council, as superintendent of Sunday School, as the church van driver, and was involved in many other church activities. In his retirement he stayed connected with former coworkers with regular lunches and enjoyed his main hobby of woodworking. Family members have a house full of wonderful memories from all the special gifts he made with love.

Clint will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Geri and his sister Norma Knee. He was the devoted father of Debbie Knee, Linda Knee and Judy (the late Bob) Lavine, step-father of Jo (Dale) Riley and Mike Prausa and father-in-law of John Buetow. Clint was a loving grandfather of Renee (David) Krueger, Tracy (Ryan) Tiegs, Sara (Doug) Anson, Dave Lavine, Nick Kramer, Lisa Wholean, and Derek (Steph) Wholean, and step-grandfather of Aimee Riley and Bryon (Maria) Riley. Clint was also a proud great-grandfather of Evan Krueger, Ryan Wholean, Crosby Tiegs, Grady Tiegs, Evelyn Anson, and step-great-grandfather of Abby Senior and Jacen Riley.

In addition to his first wife, Kathleen, and his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Corky Buetow, son Joe Knee, son-in-law Bob Lavine and great-grandson Joey Kramer.

A special thank you is extended to the staff at LindenGrove of Waukesha and Hometown Hospice for their loving care.
