Concepcion “Connie” Ward, Age 79, entered peacefully into the arms of the angels surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Connie was born in Paduca, Texas, the eldest of nine children on October 3, 1938 to Alfredo and Nicolasa (Castillo) Torres.
Connie grew up and attended schools in Randolph, Wisconsin and further enrolled in college. Her career involved teaching, interpreting and translating for the Federal Court System in Milwaukee retiring in 2011.
She married Larry Ward and later divorced. Two daughters, Ivonne “Evie” (Dan) Reinke and Debra (Rolf) Oliversen survive her. Further survived by her sisters Mary (Ruben) Reyes, Emma (Tony) Bos, Sandi (Gary) Schroeder, her brothers Felix (Jackie) Torres & Alfredo (Patty) Torres, Jr. Many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and close family also survives her.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo & Nicolasa Torres, two sisters, Lydia Morris and Juanita Lemus, nephews Felix Reyes and Jeffrey Hodgkins and brother in laws Rodney Morris and James Hamilton.
Private services for the family were held at St. Joseph Cemetery.
