Conrad “Connie” G. Farner, 82, of Waukesha, passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 29, 1942, in Waukesha, the son of Conrad G. and Margaret (nee Byrne) Farner. Connie was a proud graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, where he showcased his athletic talents in football, basketball and baseball and as a state champion in track and field and wrestling.
Following his education from UW-Whitewater, Connie dedicated himself to serving his country in the United States Navy Reserves, where he achieved the rank of Commander. He also devoted 28 years to education, teaching and coaching at New Berlin Eisenhower High School, where he also held the position of Athletic Director for several years. A devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Connie was known for his deep joy, overflowing humor and profound faithfulness.
Connie is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Michaele “Mickey” Farner, and their four children: Conrad David (Kristin) Farner, Jerome (Keri) Farner, Kristin (Peter) Diliberti, and Katherine (Timothy) Pomroy. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Tracy Farner, and his cherished grandchildren: Kayla Farner, Conrad “Curt” (Rachael) Farner, Peter Conrad (finacee Colleen Creeden) Diliberti, Megan (Forrest) Hyler, Craig Farner, Jordan Farner, Matthew Farner, Casey Farner, Margaret Pomroy, Charles Pomroy, Henry Pomroy, Benjamin Pomroy, and Peyton Kollath. Connie was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first great-granddaughter in April 2025.
He is further survived by his siblings, Marjorie (Jerome) Wegner, Robert E. (Mary Ann) Farner, and Barbara Jean (Stephen) Laedtke, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral Mass begins at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha. Private interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Connie may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, 3257 South Lake Drive, St. Francis, WI 53235.
He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
