Corbert A. Garb “Corby” of Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the age of 79. He was born in Chicago, IL on December 11, 1945 the son of Andrew and Helen (nee Bukowski) Garb. He was a lifelong employee of Milwaukee Electric Tool with 58 years of service. Corby was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church where he volunteered as an usher for many years. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed camping but most of all he was devoted to his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 53 years, Jeri and their children, Michael (Jamie) Garb and Kari (Ryan) Czech; his two grandchildren, Noah Garb and Madison Czech and sister Barbara Garb. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Joyce.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral Mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. A reception will follow. Private burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Corby’s name are appreciated to Scouting America-Camp Long Lake (https://www.pacbsa.org/support/donate-now/) or to St. William Catholic Church.
