Daniel J. Swain, of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the age of 58. He was born in Clintonville, WI on April 11, 1962 the son of Quentin and Kathleen (nee Calteaux) Swain. On October 6, 1990 he married Suzanne Barth in Shorewood. Daniel had a passion for nature and loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, kayaking and had an appreciation for rocks. He was well known around town, often stopping to chat with someone he knew, or didn’t know. His love for people propelled him to be on the board of directors of the Alano Club of Waukesha. He will be fondly remembered for all those he aided in the recovery community and for the length of his famous garvey goodbyes.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Suzanne Swain and their children Shannon, Zach and Katie Swain, his mother Kathleen Swain; and sisters Jean (George) Gama, Marguerite (Bob) Pfaff and Patricia Neder. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Quentin.
Visitation will take place on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. Private family burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations in Daniel’s name to the Alano Club of Waukesha, 318 W. Broadway, Waukesha, WI 53186.

A further celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on Friday, February 5th at 6:00 p.m. at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
