David L. Arn, of Waukesha, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at his home at the age of 62. He was born on December 31, 1960, in Oconomowoc, the son of Clarence R. and Leona M. (nee Heuser) Arn.
He will be greatly missed by his children Sara (David Atkinson) Wehmeier and Kyle (Drea) Arn; grandchildren William and Loralei Wehmeier and Lincoln, Bodhi and Arlo Arn. He is further survived by his brothers Dennis (Jen) Arn and Robert (Mary) Arn, the Price family Fredrick, Kimberly, Gabrielle and Lucianna (Jimmy) Taylor, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
David's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, faith, and the joy found in simple pleasures. One of David's greatest joys in life was his role as a grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories through shared laughter, sleepovers, and adventures. David was a consistent presence in the lives of his grandchildren.
David's deep and abiding faith was a guiding force throughout his life. A devoted worshiper, he found solace, strength, and inspiration in his relationship with God. His admiration of God’s creation was never ending. David was an avid traveler who enjoyed traveling out west to view the grand Colorado mountains and aspen trees changing. His visits to his brother in Arizona and numerous road trips with his children were cherished moments. David also shared his generous spirit through multiple mission trips with church.
David had an extraordinary connection with nature, and he found profound joy in the simplicity of the elements. His love for the weather, in all its forms, was unparalleled. It was not uncommon for David to drive several hours north to view a substantial amount of freshly fallen snow or to go for a stroll in a blizzard.
Beyond his family and faith, David had a passion for pickleball that brought him immense joy and camaraderie. Within the past several years David’s free time was consumed with playing pickleball. David's enthusiasm for Wisconsin sports knew no bounds. His dedication to the teams went beyond wins and losses; it was a source of joy, community, and shared memories with family and friends.
David leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the beautiful life he lived, the love he shared, and the impact he had on the lives of those around him.
