David D. Kozlowski of Waukesha was born to Eternal Life surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, July 15, 2019 at the age of 75. He was born in Menominee, Michigan on May 15, 1944 the son of Chester and Mary (nee Marciniak) Kozlowski. David proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion DJ Martin Post #8 and was honored to be able to go on the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight on June 1st of this year. On July 8, 1972 he married Kathleen “Kathy” Kohl at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. David worked for Waukesha Engine for 35 years and was a member of the Waukesha Engine Historical Society. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Sheepshead, and gardening, but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathy of Waukesha and their children, Scott (Karrie) Kozlowski of Waukesha, Brian (Melanie) Kozlowski of Wisconsin Rapids, Amy (Neal) Brotcke of Horicon and Kristin (Andrew) Agenten of Waukesha. He was the proud grandfather of Tayler, Josie and Grace Kozlowski; Zachary, Collin and Maggie Kozlowski; Cole and Holly Brotcke and Erik and Alisha Agenten. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Judy (Al) Pomeroy of Wallace, MI, Ronald (Cheryl) Kozlowski of Hubertus, Kathy (Jim) Svendsen of Elk River, MN, Donald (Toni) Kozlowski of Stephenson, MI and Mary Kay (Curt) Patz of Wallace, MI; his sister-in-law Sherry Kozlowski of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-law Thomas Kohl of Milwaukee; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Raymond and Catherine Kohl and his brother Chester Kozlowski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until time of the 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 on Saturday, July 20th at 11:30 a.m. Please meet directly at church. Burial with full military honors will follow Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
