David G. Lieder, of Waukesha, died on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 76. He was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on September 2, 1944 the son of Harold and Alice (nee Hayek) Lieder. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving three tours of Vietnam on the SS St. Paul. On May 8, 1971 he married Cheri Roellig in La Crosse. David was a technical writer for GE Medical Systems and Briggs & Stratton. He received a patent for X-ray Apparatus Alignment Method and Device and filed two patent disclosures for Lazer Collimator & Flexible Radiographic Markers.
He is survived by his wife Cheri; sister Sue (Herman) Givant; brothers-in-law Dick Roellig and Chuck (Debbie) Forer; sisters-in-law, Renee (Paul) Lieder-Schaefer and Marilyn Mellen; nieces and nephews, Rick and Jill Roellig and their children, Sam and Meagan; Tim and Jill Roellig and their children, Jackson and Mitchell; Roxanne Roellig; Nick and Emily Forer; Gretchen Lindahl and Nick Hammer and their children, Montana, Evelyn and Sawyer; Linette Holm; Lise Johnson; Marron and Dave Cox and their children, Andrew, Nicholas and Louis; Debra and Vincent Wilson and their son Jonathon; Liz Lieder and her children, James, Joe and Alice; Anna Lieder; Rob and Erika Lieder; and Rick Stout and his children Greg and Matt; and his uncle John Hayek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Harold Lieder; brother Richard; sister Linda; aunts and uncles, Jean and George Hayek, Lois Hayek, Muriel Tronick, Bill Lieder, John and Irene White and sister-in-law Mary Forer.
