David Murray

WAUKESHA—David R. Murray, loving and devoted husband and father, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at his home at the age of 66.  He was born on January 12, 1943 in Waukesha, the son of Robert J. and Lillian M. (nee:  Merten) Murray.  He was a 1961 graduate of Waukesha High School.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on submarine service during the Vietnam Conflict.  Upon returning home, he received his apprenticeship in tool and die and was employed at Castech as a pattern maker for most of his career, retiring in 2007.  He has been a lifelong member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church.  He will be sadly missed by his wife Barbara (nee:  Hack) of Waukesha, along with their children Lynne (Andrew) Gowen of Wales, United Kingdom, Maureen Murray of Waukesha and David R. Murray II of Waukesha.  Dear grandfather of Marianna.  Beloved brother of Timothy (Susan) Murray of Waukesha and Ellen (Doug) Lange of Dayton, OH.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James R. Murray.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM.  Funeral Service for immediate family only will follow the visitation. The Rev. Arthur Koepsell officiating.  Graveside services will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Grace Ev.
