Dawn Renee Miller, lifelong Waukesha resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2009 at the age of 52 years. She was born in Waukesha on February 18, 1957 the daughter of Richard and Dolores (nee Reinhard) Flood. Dawn was a longtime employee of Carroll College and a member at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She will be deeply missed by her children: Jamie (Sarah) Miller of Big Bend and Patrick Miller of Waukesha, and their father Charlie (Kathy) Miller of Waukesha, grandchildren: Jackson and Addison of Big Bend, her mother Dolores Flood of Las Vegas, brothers, Ricky and Robin Flood both of Las Vegas, Randy (Deanna) Flood of Flora, IL; her sisters, Denise (Robert) Hartman of Waukesha, Darlene Flood of Elkhorn, Diane Flood of Waukesha and Danelle (Richard) Fohr of Whitewater. She is further survived by her brother-in-law Dan Cooley of Waukesha, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Flood, sister Linda Cooley, and infant daughter Ann Marie. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dawn’s many close friends at Carroll College for their love and support during her long battle with Breast Cancer, as well as to the staff’s of Heartland Health Care, Heartland Hospice and Dr. LeMarbe for their tender care. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2009 from 4:00PM until the time of service at 6:00PM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll Street, Waukesha.
