Dean Charles Anderson of Hayward, WI, formerly of Waukesha, WI passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Hayward Health Center in Hayward, WI, he was 81.
Dean was born April 4, 1937, to Uhel and Helen Anderson of Milwaukee WI, the second youngest of five children. Dean served in the Navy as a hospital corpsman during the Korean War. He met his beautiful bride, Barbara Kaehler, in Milwaukee and they married January 26, 1957. They raised three children. After his assignment in the armed services, he was employed by Aqua Chem in Waukesha before moving to Artos Engineering where he finished his career as a CNC Operator. Dean and Barb were actively involved with the Buick Old Car Club enjoying their 1956 Buick for many years. Dean was a huge Packers and Badgers fan, and still enjoyed watching even when they were not playing at their best. Dean volunteered his time at various local community organizations; including Waukesha Blood Center, donating over 30 gallons of blood over his lifetime. Dean also volunteered working to recruit organ donors, volunteered at Katy's Closet and was a greeter at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home.
Dean is survived by his children Donna (Thomas) Leamy, Patricia (Ted) Noble, and Michael (Kimberly) Anderson. Grandchildren; Jennifer (Nicholas) Coon, Daniel (Carrie) Leamy, Scott Leamy (Megan Johnston), Jake Noble, Adam Neibauer, Jana (Jake) Goodman, Caleb and Alex Anderson. Great Grandchildren; Natalie, Patrick, Nevaeh, Damian, Landen, Jack, Aubree, Jacob and Miles. Sisters Lynne Dailey (Herb), Christine Grassman, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years Barbara Jean (nee Kaehler), parents; Uehl and Helen Anderson, In-laws; William and Florence Kaehler, his sister Kay Johnson, brother-in-law Dale Johnson and brother Wayne Anderson.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful nursing staff and community at Hayward Health Services, where Dean was loved and cared for.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186 from 3:00PM until the 5:00PM funeral service. Military honors will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
