Donald Kaminski

Donald Kaminski died peacefully at home on April 25, 2024 at the age of 77 following a short battle with bladder cancer. He was born in Milwaukee on October 22, 1946 to Celia and Jerome Kaminski. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, son Kenneth, daughter Karyn (Donald) Mitchell and grandchildren, Lindy and Nolan Mitchell.
 
 Don graduated from Boy’s Tech in 1964 and Spencerian Business College in 1968. His accounting career spanned nearly 50 years. Over that time, he worked for various accounting firms and owned his own practice. He was active in various organizations and held offices in several. He served as Treasurer for his Door County condo and as both President and Board Member for his current Waukesha condo home. Professionally he was a Director for the Wisconsin Association of Public Accountants. He belonged to both the Waukesha and Milwaukee Coin Clubs, was President for the dance group, The Twelve Nighters and was on the Finance Board for St. Mary Parish in Waukesha. Besides his family, Don’s other love was Golf, a game he played his entire life. Most recently he belonged to the Wanaki Men’s Club. When not out on the links, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, ballroom dancing, theater, music concerts, and collecting coins and eagle paraphernalia. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend who will be missed.

 Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 South Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186, from 11:30 am until the 1:00 pm Funeral Mass.
