Donald R. Singsime of North Prairie and lifelong Waukesha County resident passed away peacefully on his 90th birthday, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Mission Creek in Waukesha. He was born in Waukesha on August 10, 1927. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On November 6, 1948, he married Arlene Foat; she preceded him in death on April 13, 1992. Donald worked for Waukesha Engine for 47 years as a stock keeper. In retirement, he enjoyed working for the Commemorative Air Force Wisconsin Wing. Donald loved being outdoors and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping and gardening.
He will be sadly missed by his sons, Rick (Linda) Singsime of Waukesha, Terry (Cherie) Singsime of East Troy and Jim (Michelle) Singsime of Florida, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers Richard Singsime and Ken Eustice along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Arlene, he was preceded in death by his sons Donald Jr. and Jack Singsime and his sister Leora.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Burial with full military honors will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
