Lifelong Waukesha resident Doris Ruth (nee: Gunther) Brown, 83, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. She was born in Waukesha to August and Martha (nee: Schirmacher) Gunther on April 14, 1923. Doris graduated from Waukesha High School Class of 1942. She was a life member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ and served as a sunday school teacher, President of the Womens Guild and Priscilla Circle. Doris served her community as a Gray Lady during World War II; an active supporter of the Hadfield School PTA and as a den mother for the Hadfield Cub Scout Pack. Doris is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years Warren; sons and daughter-in-laws: Tim and Susan Brown of Johnson Creek; Terry and Terri Brown of Wales; grandchildren: Seth and Shane Brown; Skye Hall and Adrian Brown; great grandchildren: Alley, Erin and Robby. Visitation will be at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. on Monday, January 8, 2007 from 11 A.M. until the 1:00 P.M. Funeral Service. Entombment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
