Doris C. Green, Of Waukesha, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at GrossmontMedical Center at the age of 98. She was born on March 30, 1910 in Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of Anton and Martha (Haedke) Eichbichler. She served her country during WWII working in a bomb factory, and was also employed as a hair stylist. In 1944, Doris was united in marriage to Joseph Green in Las Vegas, Nevada. She loved animals, reading mystery novels, sitting in the yard, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had an incredible sense of humor, and was a very loving and forgiving woman. Doris was a longtime active member of St Joseph's and St. William¹s Catholic Churches. Doris will be sadly missed by: her son-in-law, Robert (Marty) Horstmeier of Waukesha; 6 grandchildren: Terry Risteen of Great Lakes, Greg (Patty) Blando of Waukesha, Robin (John) Davidson of New Berlin, Diane (John) Kazmierski of Franklin, James (Lisa) Horstmeier of Waukesha, and Anthony (Katie) Blando of San Diego; and 10 great-grandchildren: Angela (Ryan) Kerrigan, Jennifer Blando, Mallory and Cody Davidson, Jarrett and Robert Kazmierski, Calvin and Travis Horstmeier, Joshua Volper and Samuel Blando. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Green, and her children Anthony May, and Joan Horstmeier.
