Doris J. Waite, of Dousman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Three Pillars in Dousman at the age of 87. She was born in Waukesha on February 1, 1931, the daughter of George and Adeline (nee Sorenson) Jamieson. She was a 1949 graduate of Waukesha High School. On July 19, 1952 she married her beloved husband Robert “Bob” Waite. Bob and Doris lived most of their life in the Waukesha area, but also enjoyed their home on Lake Camelot in Nekoosa and their winter home in Apache Junction, AZ. In 1993 she retired from Waukesha Memorial Hospital after 25 years of service. She was a member of First Congregational UCC, enjoyed sewing and crafting and was a 4H leader.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Linda J. Rouse of Waukesha and Rob J. Waite of Oconomowoc, her grandchildren, Thomas Rouse, Michael (Jennifer) Rouse, Amber (Jason) Thornton and Britney Waite, her great-grandchildren, Natasha Rouse and Quentin Thornton and two great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Amelia. She is further survived by her sister Ruth Parkhurst of Elkhorn, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bob on October 11, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the 3:00 p.m. memorial service at the Ewald Chapel at Three Pillars Village on the Square, 375 Hwy 67 Dousman, WI 53118. Pastor Terese Leonhard will preside. Private inurnment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
