Dr. Raymond George Hoffmann of Waukesha passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the age of 71. He was born in Port Washington, WI on October 9, 1946, the son of George and Bernadine (nee Augustin) Hoffmann. On June 10, 1972 at St. Mary Catholic Church he married his beloved wife Rose Mundschau and was married for 45 years. He started his education at UW-Madison where he earned his Bachelor Degree, continued to UW-Milwaukee for his Masters in Math and then attended John Hopkins to get his PhD in Biostatistics. He worked in research for the Medical College of Wisconsin for 40 years, retiring as Professor Emeritus in 2017. Raymond was an active member at St. Mary Catholic church for 39 years, serving as a Eucharistic minister and as a Lector. Raymond will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Rose Hoffmann, his treasured children, Michael (Leah Przedwiecki) Hoffmann of Muskego, Paul Hoffmann of Pittsburgh, and Dr. Thomas (Dr. Argenta Price) Hoffmann of San Francisco; his dear siblings, Eileen (Bruce) Friesch of Pewaukee, Robert (Sharon) Hoffmann of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Rosanne (Dennis) Ryer of Kansas City, MO and John (Sherry) Possley of Cedar Grove; his precious grandchildren, Alyssa Przedwiecki and Ada Hoffmann, along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. rosary service at Randle-Dable Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186. Services will continue at the funeral home on Friday, January 12, 2018 with closing prayers at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral procession to St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha for the with a 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass. Graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Mary’s Food Pantry or the Catholic Memorial High School Scholarship fund.
