Earl Joseph Williams, 40, Waukesha, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, after a long, courageous battle recovering from a liver transplant. He was born Dec. 6, 1973, in Waukesha. Earl graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1992, and then furthered his education at WCTC. On April 17, 2004 he married the love of his life Cheryl Holmes. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially the time with his children, family, and friends. Earl put his girls first and taught them to hunt and fish. He also coached his girls in the Waukesha Park and Rec girl’s softball league for many years. Earl also enjoyed bowling and was in a bowling league for many years. He was most recently employed by Exacto Springs of Grafton, as a skilled specialty CNC programmer.
Earl is survived by his wife, Cheryl Williams, of Waukesha, his daughter Megan Williams of Waukesha, step-daughter Ashley Hodgkins-Holmes of Waukesha. Also survived by his mother Mary (Mike) Gifford of Waukesha, his father James Williams, Okauchee, his brother James Williams of Waukesha, sister Sherry Williams of Hartland, and step-sister Laura (Mike) Szczepanski of Oak Creek. He will also be missed by his mother and father in-law David and Mary Holmes, sister-in law Sandy Holmes (Charles Moldenhauer), brother-in-law Dennis (Heather) Holmes; three nieces, four nephews; and many dear friends. Earl was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be Friday February 7, 2014 at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue from 4:00 PM until the memorial service at 7:00 PM. The Rev. Bill Humphreys will preside Burial will take place in the spring.
