Earle W. Kaercher, a longtime Waukesha resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 88 years. He was born in Watertown on September 20, 1925 the son of Erhard and Esther (nee Creuz) Kaercher. Earle was a 1943 graduate of Watertown High School and then graduated from UW-Madison with a business degree. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII as a staff sergeant. On April 18, 1948 he married Arline Beyer in Watertown and together they enjoyed camping, ballroom dancing and playing in various card clubs. Earle retired from the IRS as an accountant and then worked as a consultant to several law firms in the Milwaukee area. He was a longtime member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Earle was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and had a great sense of humor until the end. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will always be remembered for his loving, generous spirit.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 65 years Arline, of Waukesha, and their children, Kay (Ken) Heine of Waukesha, Jeffrey Kaercher of Mount Horeb, Steven (Adele) Kaercher of New Berlin, Todd (Susan) Kaercher of Sharon, WI, Coryn (the late Vincent) Turner of Gurnee, IL and Wayne Kaercher of Maple Grove, MN along with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Margaret Kujath of Muskego along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother John, his infant son Alan and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 10:00AM until the time of the 11:00AM memorial service at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 S. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. Reverend Peter A. Schmidt will preside. Private interment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield at a later date.
