Edward I. “Ed” “Ted” Bainbridge of Waukesha, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at Elmbrook Hospital at the age of 94. He was born on August 10, 1915 in Ableman, Wisconsin, the son of John and Agnes (Kosmoski) Bainbridge. Ed was united in marriage to Audrey Kern on July 20, 1946 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha where he later served on the Board of Elders and the Church Council. He was a mail carrier in Waukesha for many years, and was a WWII Army veteran. Ed enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and making stained glass. Ed will be deeply missed by his son, Douglas (Lana) Bainbridge of New Berlin; his daughter, Sandy Bainbridge of Waukesha; grandchildren: Chad (Aimee) Bainbridge and Carrie (fiancé Kevin Nielson) Bainbridge; great-grandchildren: Callan and Eli; and his sister, Betty McLean of Crystal Lake, IL. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law: Katherine Bainbridge of Baraboo, WI, Violet Lewis of Waukesha, and Doris Kern of Waukesha; brothers-in-law: Jack Meyers of Woodstock, IL, Henry (Jane) Kern of Mayville, WI, Harvey (Elizabeth) Kern of Waukesha; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Audrey, in 2006; his sisters: Margaret Squires, Dorothy Bainbridge, and Caroline Meyers; his brothers: Raymond, John and Thomas Bainbridge; and his parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Reverend Arthur Koepsell will preside. Burial will take place on Monday, January 4 at 10:00 AM at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Ev.
